General Admission:
This day-long excursion includes the KSC Tour of NASA’s Launch Headquarters, two IMAX films, all shows and exhibits, and a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame.
On your tour, you’ll stop at the four-story LC-39 observation gantry, which offers a bird’s-eye view of the space shuttle launch pads. The second tour stop is the acclaimed Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you’ll walk beneath a massive Saturn V rocket, relive Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon, and hear the thunderous rumble of a Saturn V moon rocket liftoff. Later, take a trip to the International Space Station Center, where you’ll see real parts of the space station being readied for launch.
The day continues with IMAX® movie screenings of the new Magnificent Desolation, a 3D documentation of moon exploration, and Space Station 3D, which takes you on a virtual trip to the International Space Station. You’ll also enjoy many other shows and exhibits at the Visitor Complex, including the Astronaut Encounter Show, where you could meet a real astronaut, and the zany live-action show Mad Mission to Mars 2025.
Top your day off with a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. This attraction features the world’s largest collection of personal astronaut mementos, plus historic spacecraft, one-of-a-kind space legacies, and hands-on activities. Sit in a mission control console, take a virtual moonwalk, feel the pull of four Gs in the G-Force Simulator, and land the virtual space shuttle.
The Shuttle Launch Experience replicates the sights, sounds, and feelings of a real shuttle launch. Strap in and go vertical for launch in a one-of-a-kind motion-based simulator, the only realistic simulation of a launch ever created. The five-minute experience sequence culminates with a breathtaking view of Earth from space.
